Most Britons Say They Won't Use Bitcoin
According to Clarity, a UK based communications agency, just over half (57%) of Britons are aware of Bitcoin. A polling sample of 2000 online shoppers has revealed that 69% of men and 45% of women have heard of the currency. However, only 5% had actually tried to use Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, and 70% did not express interest in using cryptocurrency at any point in the future. Scepticism. Just before the 26th United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference (COP-26), the UK government polled 3,071 adults from Britain to ask them their opinions on cryptocurrencies and the crypto industry’s effects on climate change. According to the survey, 45% of Britons would support banning crypto assets for environmental reasons and 18% would oppose a ban. Even though 45% of the polled crowd would ban crypto assets, very few respondents think a ban would be effective.
